Peter Dinklage
Peter Dinklage was born on June 11, 1969, in Morristown, New Jersey, but he grew up in Mendham Township. He is the son of an elementary school music teacher and a retired insurance salesman. He was graduated from Delbalton School in Morriston in 1987 and from Benningtom College in 1991.
Peter was born with achondroplasia so, as far as I know, he had to struggle with stereotypes in order to get different roles in films which had nothing to do with this illness. And that is why I think he is a real actor, not only a cute face, as many current actors in Hollywood (although, in my opinion, he is quite handsome).
In 2005, he married Erica Shcmidt (what a lucky woman!), a theatre director, and in 2011 they had a daughter, their first child.
About Peter's career, he had participated in several movies and some TV series, but he had become more popular thanks to his role of Tyrion Lannister in 'Game of Thrones'. He is doing a great performance in this show. In fact, he received the Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2011, as well as the 2012 Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor - Series, Miniseries or Television Film.
If I had to choose one of the movies Peter has starred, it would be 'The Station Agent', an independent comedy-drama film about a man who seeks solitude in an abandoned train station. For his role, he received Independent Spirit and Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations for Best Actor. You can read my review of the film here.
Finally, I would like to add that Peter is a vegetarian, supports Farm Sanctuary and has served as the spokesperson for the organization's Walk for Farm Animals.

'The Station Agent' Review
Today I would like to share my review about the film 'The Station Agent' I have been preparing for my English class. Hope you enjoyed it.
'The Station Agent' is an independent comedy-drama film about a man who seeks solitude in an abandoned train station in Newfoundland, New Jersey. The movie is written and directed by Thomas McCarthy, and starred by Peter Dinklage, Bobby Cannavale and Patricia Clarkson.
The story begins when the main character, Finbar McBride, who suffers from achondroplastic dwarfism, inherits a piece of rural property with an abandoned train depot on it. Because of his illness, and his love for trains, he moves into the old building hoping for a life of solitude. However, he meets Joe Oramas, a Cuban American who is operating his father's roadside snack track while the elder man recovers from an illness; and Olivia Harris, an artist who has recently lost his son and got divorced. So, the plot focuses on the relationship between the three characters, and Finbar's interest in trains.
From my point of view, the film has an excepcionally powerful acting, and the members of the cast are absolutely convincing. In addition. Peter Dinklage's performance is incredibly natural as he, who plays Finbar's role, was born with achondroplasia.
As far as the plot is concerned, I believe it is totally gripping due to the extremelly compelling and realistic script. Other points worth mentioning are that the story is very moving, and anybody could indentify himself with the characters.
This is a film which is well worth seeing, if only you are looking for a different movie centered on personal relationships and human feelings. It will touch your heart.

I dreamt I met Peter Dinklage
Yesterday, I dreamt I met Peter Dinklage. He is currently my favourite actor, and I would love to meet him in real life. But at least, the dream was incredibly realistic, so I'm very happy I had it.
In my dream, I was in a café or restaurant, I'm not quite sure, and there was a table with famous people eating, or talking, I don't know. I recognize that the actors were working with Peter in some programme or TV show, and I look for him. Suddenly, I saw him and I were close to him, but at first I didn't say him nothing. Then, he sat further of the other people and I talked to him. I asked him if I could take him a photo with me. At first, he didn't want but finally, he accepted.
Someone I know took us some photos, but then the pictures weren't in the phone, so Peter used his laptop to take pictures of us. And then, he recorded the photos in a pendrive and gave it to me. That was crazy! Because then I was to give him my e-mail so he could contact me to send me the address where I could returned him his pendrive. And then, the dream was over. How a pity, because I was enjoying a lot...
A marvelous dream, I imagine anyone would like to meet his favourite actor. A curious thing: in the dream, before I met Peter, I was talking in Spanish, but with him, both of us were talking in English. It would be a sign?
So Peter, if you read this, you know ;)
Other day I would post an entry about Peter.
